Let me get this out of the way first: i was not expecting this record to be this satisfyingly good and i'm not saying this because of the record label, no, this is really good! Thrashy Death Metal that'll get you moving! I would love to see this band live because i'm sure they put up a badass show that lots of Metal lovers would enjoy.
The vocals on the record are the old school Death Metal approach but still having the low/mid/high range to them. Fits good with the music if i say so myself! It's nice and raw. It's nothing special but it gets the job done!
The instrumentals is where the fun really begins! Thrashy riffage and solos covered in a slimey Death Metal goo that's being accompanied by blasting drums, a great bass and even some synths (or really sick guitarplay) if i hear that correctly. Yes, the music has its Melodic parts and i welcome those with open arms. The songwriting is solid on this record and keeps it really interesting.
The mix/mastering feels a bit more in the lo-fi side of the spectrum. Ofcourse, it's Extreme Metal but some instruments and certain parts could've had more punch to them. Despite that, it's still a solid sound they were going for! I really dig it!
