Interview for Swedish site "Robex Lundgren".

Can you tell about your band?
Pedro Valença – Pandemmy is a brazilian heavy metal band whose main strands in his sounding Thrash Metal and Death Metal.

Where are all band members from?/Who does what in the band?
Pedro Valença - The current formation is: Pedro Valença (Lead Guitars), Diego Lacerda (Rhytm Guitars), Arthur Lira (Drums), André Valongueiro (Vocals) and Marcelo Santa Fé (Bass Guitar). Me and Diego are members who are from the beginning of the band.

Why did you pick that particular style?/What are your songs about?
Pedro Valença – All members enjoy all subgenres of heavy metal. From the most traditional to the most extreme style. When we write, we feel more comfortable playing faster and aggressive riffs. Our songs talk about social, philosophical and abstract themes.

Do you write your own material or mainly covers?
Pedro Valença – We write our own material. Our setlist consists of songs from our studio records. Sometimes we play covers and soon we will record a track of Pantera in honor to 10 years Dimebag Darrel's death.

Have you made any albums? / If yes what are they?
Pedro Valença – The Pandemmy discography, in order of release is: "Self-Destruction" (Demo/2010), "Idiocracy" (EP/2011), "Dialectic" (EP/2012) and "Reflections & Rebellions" (Full-Length / 2013).

What are your sources of inspiration?
Pedro Valença – Books, movies, music, history, dreams and reality.

What drives a band that isn't all that famous and renowned to try to make a living on their music and to keep playing?
Pedro Valença – We played for pleasure. Feel the need to play live, composing and recording songs in studio. Travel and tour also brings us a lot of experience and learning. Fame is a result of good job. One day, If we get famous it will be great, but if not, life goes on.
